Left – The left side of the ad gives us the main setting, showing us the 3 sisters. It tells us if we go on with this tour group, we’ll most likely visit the 3 sisters on the mountain. On the tour there would be some bush walking and fun things to do.
Right – The right side gives us how the tour group travels, in this case it’s by bus. They have their own bus to travel and the ad shows travelling on the bus is lots of great fun as we can see from the tourist popping out of the window.
Top – The top gives us a wondering theme where we think “Why is that bus being supported by rail cords?” The ad giving us that this tour group is very enjoying as you can see on the people’s faces and smiles waving out of the bus.
Bottom – The bottom tells us what the picture in the ad is all about, the picture is support by a slogan “We’ll try ANYTHING to give you the best blue mountains experience” The bottom section of the ad also gives us the setting on where the tour is, in this case, the blue mountains.
Centre – In the centre of the ad, it shows us the main subject that their trying to advertise, “The Wonder Bus, tours”.
In the advertisement of the wonder bus tour group, they have chosen the colour yellow for their name as yellow is the most visible of all colours, captures the eye in any environment and the text is outlined with green. The yellow mixes well with the plain white bus, the colour implies that this is a very worth while experience. The slogan is chosen to be white coloured because it helps it stand out past the background since the background is very scenic like with bushes forests in the Blue Mountains.
The reading path in this ad, it starts by drawing our eyes towards the bus and as we take a closer look at the bus we read the name “wonder bus tours”. The ad made the bus stand out so that the bus is the first thing we get caught towards. After analysing the bus we then look down at the slogan in the bottom right corner. Through reading that slogan it tells us that the scene in the background is the Blue Mountains.
The ad about the wonder bus uses long shot showing us the whole body of the subject which in this case is the bus but also uses an extreme long shot to show the Blue Mountains in the background. The long shot is used to focus on the wonder bus but also giving the audience a picture of the setting and scene.
